King of all the Wild Things - TURNS ONE!

We attend story time at the local toy store. This past week was a pajama party and a celebration of the Wild Things movie. The teacher even brought Max and the Wild Things and crowns for the kids. The kids got to hold Max and the Wild Things while she read the story. Both my boys love this story. And when the Wild Things gnash their terrible teeth and terrible claws, the teacher had the kids act it out. Owen got right into it. And gnashed his terrible teeth and claws with a roar. (Imagine little Owen roaring with his mouth wide and raking his hand, shaped as a claw in the air.) He even wore the crown almost all the way home. Now he keeps the crown by his high chair and puts it on himself. This morning at breakfast, how fitting for his birthday, he placed the crown on his head again. And today before nap, I read the story and Owen gnashed his terrible teeth and claws. Happy 1st Birthday my King of all the Wild Things!
