Mini Family Vacation
The end of May brought our first real family vacation. We visited Schaumburg, IL with the ultimate goal of going to Lego Land. The boys were so thrilled to go. We had an amazing 3 day adventure. Daddy even spoiled us and got us a CTS Wagon for the trip. We traveled in style. We had a great time and the boys are still asking to go back.
Of course we had to stay in a hotel with a pool. The boys could have stayed in it all day and night.
The boys loved that they got to share a bed. It didn't work out so well the first night, lots of giggling and playing, but the second night they did great.
The first night we walked around the shops near Lego Land and of course went into the gift shop to see all the wonderful Legos. Aidan saved his allowance so he could buy some Star Wars Legos. He was so excited to get them. I was proud of him for saving his money. He even took his wallet and paid the cashier.
It was Pirate Weekend and that only added to the fun. Here we go on our Lego Land adventure.
The boys loved the build and race section. They got to build their own cars and then race them on tracks.
We visited the Lego Factory to see how Legos are made. Aidan volunteered to push the button and get the factory started.
Here are the boys with a couple of their favorite Lego sculptures.
