We were fortunate to have Abuelita come stay with us for a week. It was a real treat for the boys and us too. We got to do lots of our favorite fall things and even celebrate Owen's birthday.

The boys love to go on walks in the neighborhood. They took Abuelita with them on a few. The three of them enjoyed finding all the different colored leaves.

Abuelita was also able to attend Aidan's last soccer game! What a treat.

We celebrated Owen's birthday all day. We had lunch at a local Mexican restaurant.

We even went trick or treating on Owen's birthday at a local Halloween celebration.

The boys were very excited to show Abuelita the zoo. And the bonus was it was decorated for the fall festival with pumpkins and gourds used to design and build all sorts of different animals. We had a beautiful day for our visit.

I love this picture. Mario and I took advantage of having a babysitter and went to dinner. We came home to 3 giddy people. They had been having a blast baking cupcakes and decorating the "spooky cookie house." They even wrote a song about it. "We are the bakers. We are the bakers. We are baking cupcakes for Halloween."

Another favorite fall activity is going to the cider mill. We spend the day at one and had it almost all to ourselves. We explored the pumpkins and petting farm, drove the off road tricycles, ran through the hay maze, climbed the hay towers and of course enjoyed cider and donuts.

We had a great time with Abuelita and look forward to her visiting again.
